Rear Suspension Slide-Action
Competition technology has been extended to everyday performance. The SLIDE-ACTION rear suspension maintains a free-acting front arm while adjusting to torque through jumps, steep turns and acceleration. When the rear transfer blocks are engaged, the front arm follows the shock, keeping your skis firmly planted. It’s the only suspension to feature a “U” shaped slot that sits on a fixed shaft to allow for a crucial 0.5″ of glide (SLIDE-ACTION). This important detail controls the lift of the skis during acceleration.
Suspension Before ARS
The front suspension geometry directs loads toward the center of the chassis. This configuration gives the front end a look that is as dynamic as its handling characteristics. The lightweight forged aluminum one-piece rod is designed for strength. Ball joints prevent friction and create better feedback to the driver. Fox Zero Qs3 Helical Spring Shock Absorbers
This innovative FOX shock represents a breakthrough in performance and exibility. The new Turbo Triple takes over from the Z1® Turbo Twin four-stroke, two-cylinder engine, with the new model being lighter and therefore more responsive. 6000 Engine
This 599cc two-stroke, two-stage fuel-injected engine is an unmodified version of the engine that has been powering Team Arctic riders on the racetrack since 2012. This high-revving C-TEC2® mill in the 125hp class is the product of a world-class engine assembly facility – ours. With power in the 160 hp class, this 794 cc two-stroke engine is the most powerful 800 engine in the industry. It features a lightweight, quick-revving crankshaft, dual spark plugs per cylinder and lightweight engine braking technology. Features of the ZR RR:
Fox 2.0 Zero QS3 and QS3R Shocks
The settings allow the driver to simultaneously increase or decrease compression and rebound damping. Turn the knob in the antiphonal direction for a soft, comfortable suspension. Turn it the other way for a sportier feel and more bottom-end resistance.
RMC braking
The RR relies on the race version of the RMC hydraulic braking system, featuring a lightweight race rotor, race pads and a 9/16 master cylinder for increased braking force. Did we mention that this machine is race ready?
Racing Circuit Rear Suspension
For 2017, the RR is available with either a 327.7 cm (129″) or 348 cm (137″) track. With a wider footprint designed to cover a larger area, the latter version swallows small bumps that form on busy trails.
