Step on the gas and hit the trail like you’ve never done before. It doesn’t matter if you’re propelling yourself across a frozen lake, down a beaten path, or making that first turn off a straightaway. To be in first place, you want to make the fastest tight turns and you want the best overall control.

Polaris snowmobiles offer control so riders can dominate the terrain and do whatever they want with confidence. Leading the industry in superior performance, lightweight agility and ultimate ride and handling, the complete Polaris lineup brings something for every rider. From the PRO-RMK®, the mountain leader, to the ultimate wilderness vehicle AXYS Switchback Assault, to the perfect trail performance vehicle RUSH or the versatile Voyageur, Polaris leads the way in snowmobile performance, control and technology.

2017 Polaris 800 RUSH PRO-S

AXYS® Chassis

The AXYS® chassis has 93% new parts, including a carbon fiber cover structure and aluminum handlebars on limited edition and SnowCheck Select models and an aluminum superstructure on standard models. The chassis structure and design allows for changes in driver positioning, centralized vehicle mass, redesigned rear suspension, added power, reduced weight and an evolving driver experience. In short, it is the key to delivering active driver control, unprecedented acceleration and driver-centric comfort.

PRO-XC™ Rear Suspension

The completely redesigned geometry of the all-new PRO-XC™ progressive action rear suspension is optimized for ultimate performance and active rider control. Thanks to Polaris’ innovative engineering and construction, the suspension is lighter and stronger, and features :

  • A light forged aluminum rear crank
  • A completely redesigned crank and pivot.
  • Front torque arm moved to the rear to control pitch, increase travel and improve guide rail profile.

Active Pitch Control™

The PRO-XC™ suspension with Active Pitch Control™ allows pitch to be controlled through suspension geometry, not just high spring rate. This makes the snowmobile less sensitive to adjustments and allows for optimal weight transfer.

Light
When creating the AXYS® platform, Polaris engineers minimized weight throughout the snowmobile without compromising strength. The 800 RUSH PRO-S is 13.6 kg (30 pounds) lighter than the previous chassis and weighs at least 13.6 kg (30 pounds) less than the competition’s track performance model.

800 CleanfireMD H.O. Engine
Developed in conjunction with the AXYS platform, the proven 800 Cleanfire® H.O. Engine provides superior acceleration. Integrated mounting position optimizes chassis balance. Includes:

  • Electronically controlled 3-stage exhaust valves
  • Electronic oil pump
  • Thermostat with bypass heats to operating temperature 40% faster and improved durability
  • High efficiency intake and exhaust
  • VForce valves
  • Lightweight crankshaft
  • Lighter throttle body reduces throttle force
  • 800 H.O

AXYS Chassis
The AXYS® chassis has 93% new parts, including a carbon fiber cover structure and aluminum handlebars on limited edition and SnowCheck Select models and an aluminum superstructure on standard models. In short, it is the key to delivering active driver control, unprecedented acceleration and driver-centric comfort.

Active driver position

On the AXYS® chassis, the driver is positioned forward to achieve a more balanced position. The driver’s hands are moved forward 11.4 cm (4.5 in.), feet 5.1 cm (2 in.), knees 11.4 cm (4.5 in.) and seat 11.4 cm (4.5 in.). In the neutral driving position, the AXYS® platform offers a reduced and positive inclination in turns. When the trail is rough or the rider jumps into powder, the active rider control allows the rider to move backwards and make the front end lighter to climb over snow or bumps.

Rear Suspension PRO-XC™
The completely redesigned geometry of the all-new PRO-XC progressive-action rear suspension is optimized for ultimate performance and active rider control.

Cleanfire® 600 Engine
This Cleanfire® semi-direct injection (SDI) coolant engine offers exceptional throttle response and instant acceleration. These powerful, efficient engines start easily and reliably. They automatically calibrate with temperature and altitude changes. These engines deliver impressive fuel economy in real-world driving situations, which for Polaris riders means aggressive, rhythmic, high-revving driving. Now featured in the AXYS® chassis, the 600 engine has a new integrated lightweight mount, electronic oil pump and bypass thermostat.

2017 Polaris 800 RUSH PRO-X

The 2017 Polaris 800 RUSH PRO-X is suitable for snowmobilers who want absolute control in big bumps while riding upright and are looking to dominate in ditches and over bumps.

PRO-XC™ suspension with Polaris Race Technology (PRT)

The completely redesigned geometry of the all-new PRO-XC™ progressive action rear suspension is optimized for ultimate performance and active rider control. Thanks to Polaris’ innovative engineering and construction, the suspension is lighter and stronger, and features :

  • A light forged aluminum rear crank
  • A completely redesigned crank and pivot.
  • Front torque arm moved to the rear to control pitch, increase travel and improve guide rail profile.

To increase durability and strength for extreme performance, the XCR features race-inspired suspension components, including a Chromoly rear pivot, heavy-duty FTS bracket, solid “reinforced” intermediate shaft, Chromoly front torque arm, reinforced guide rail bundles optimized for strength, solid bogie wheels, and IQR rear axles.

Polaris Race Technology Brake System

The PRT braking system offers outstanding performance with unmatched durability. The racing rotor increases the surface area that effectively absorbs heat from the brake pads for smoother performance and even pad wear. The brake plate provides better cooling and improves durability and performance, while the Type 81 brake pads withstand the higher temperatures associated with higher speeds.
