Ski-Doo MXZ models are by far the most agile and maneuverable on any trail – straight, twisty, easy or hard. The MX acronym comes from motocross bikes that are light, agile and capable of handling the toughest bumps. Of course, all MXZ models have these characteristics, but the all-new MXZ X and MXZ TNT with Rotax 850 E-TEC engine redefine fun and performance on the trail.

As with the original REV platform introduced in 2003, BRP designed the new fourth-generation REV platform and the new 850 E-TEC engine with trail riders in mind to offer a vehicle that sets a new standard for snowmobiles designed for aggressive trail riding. The narrow, compact ergonomic design allows for a wide range of riding styles. Moving forward to increase weight on the skis and hanging on the inside of turns has never been more natural thanks to Ergo-Step side panels, foot holds, an extra narrow fuel tank and a beveled tunnel. A unique forward adjustable riser block allows for further customization of the riding position.

The new RAS 3 front suspension and dual-pivot steering enhance a light, precise and predictable ride in all conditions.

Clean styling with BRP and Ski-Doo DNA. The lines and weight distribution accentuate the advanced riding position – and cutting-edge styling – of the next generation of remarkable Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

All versions of the MXZ TNT package now benefit from the traction, braking and bump-riding capabilities of the rMotion 129 rear suspension, joining the ranks of the longer MXZ X-RS, MXZ X and MXZ Blizzard models.

2017 Ski-Doo MXZ X 850

OVERVIEW

One of the goals of the project combining the 4th generation REV platform and the Rotax 850 E-TEC engine was to produce a snowmobile capable of delivering “pure, natural fun” without losing the high-precision handling and control that is the DNA of the MXZ. That’s exactly what the 2017 MXZ X package with 850 E-TEC engine delivers.

The 2nd generation E-TEC engine and transmission have been designed to provide more power, but also to offer exceptional response and even more precision. The new chassis is extremely compact and agile, with a highly centralized mass. Not to mention the improved geometry of the RAS 3 front suspension and its new dual-pivot steering system, which is even better synchronized with the rMotion rear suspension, especially in difficult conditions, to provide simply unmatched precision.

But the potential and the pleasure to be gained from it reach their maximum thanks to its ergonomic qualities. It can be driven comfortably and quickly in a variety of ways. Its narrow design (compact fuel tank, beveled tunnel and reduced seat size) and Ergo-Step side panels provide more room to move the rider and increase maneuverability. Snowmobilers can actually counterbalance their weight in turns with the sculpted side panels and innovative foot holds. Moving to the side and forward to stabilize the skis becomes quite natural. The MXZ X even features a uniquely designed adjustable elevation block that makes adjusting the riding position a snap.

The durability, quality and reliability of Ski-Doo snowmobiles have led the industry for years, and the combination of the new REV platform and the new 850 E-TEC engine has been specifically designed to provide reliability and serviceability that reduce costs and hassle.
