Ski-Doo Tundra models are some of the most capable snowmobiles ever built when it comes to getting everywhere – they’re machines that get you through trees, over rough terrain and into places where there are no trails. They’re utility vehicles designed for hunting, trapping, working in inaccessible places or transporting for ice fishing… Or maybe they’re just the perfect machines for fun exploring in deep snow, climbing mountains and slaloming through the forest. Why not both?

The lightweight REV-XU platform gives them great maneuverability, and the telescopic front suspension allows them to float better than any other model on the market, even in deep snow. The SC-5U rear suspension gives them a large footprint on the snow for unparalleled off-trail control and comfort, not to mention their unique articulated track.

2017 Ski-Doo Tundra Xtreme

OVERVIEW

Who says that people who ride the biggest mountains must have the most exciting off-road models? Certainly not Ski-Doo. There are a lot of people out there exploring off-road at lower elevations, especially in deep snow, and having a lot of fun doing it. That’s exactly what the Tundra Xtreme does. It has the legendary off-road maneuverability and agility of Tundra snowmobiles, with the power and responsiveness of the Rotax 600 H.O. E-TEC engine, plus a wide range of performance features. These include a ProLite track with a 2.5-inch profile that enhances performance in deep snow.

PLATEFORM

REV-X platform: Architecture and design that combine lightness, chassis strength and maneuverability. The industry standard. The ability to assume different driving positions allows for a relaxed driving style as well as a more dynamic approach, whether sitting or standing. The driver can stretch his legs thanks to a more advanced foot position.

Tundra Style: Distinctive, rugged looking platform, unique to Tundra models, offering excellent wind protection. The hull design is optimized for better flotation in deep snow.

SUSPENSION

SC-5U Rear Suspension: For a sophisticated yet comfortable ride on and off the trail. Features an articulating rail that offers two settings: free and locked. The free position reduces the footprint on the trail for easier turning and better fuel economy, while providing more efficient reverse in deep snow. The locked position provides maximum traction and flotation for towing and off-trail driving.

LTS Front Suspension: The telescopic suspension and large front shell are the main elements responsible for the unmatched deep snow capabilities of this snowmobile.

81 cm (32″) Ski Gap: Very narrow ski gap for better maneuverability between trees.

KEY FEATURES

Forward-facing handlebar riser block: Allows for a more natural position when riding upright. Can also be adjusted 5 cm (2 in.) to the rear.

Pilot DS 2 Skis: Center-keel skis that offer excellent sidecut performance while the thin edges bite into the snow more. Narrower, thinner and stiffer skis. The rear tip of the ski is flattened to facilitate countersteering and sidehill riding.

ProLite Track: 16″ x 154″ x 2.5″ (41cm x 391cm x 6.35cm) long profile track with soft, hollow side and rigid center lugs that significantly improve acceleration and performance in deep snow.

Rear and center HPG shocks REV-XM running boards: Larger openings for easy snow evacuation, stronger extruded edges provide excellent grip for boots.

NEW REV-XM Seat: Extra narrow front with a lowered profile for easy side-to-side transition. 3.2L of storage space in the seat base.

Stiff Grip: Borrowed from the Summit REV-XM models, the stiff grip provides greater leverage and confidence when performing more technical movements.

Integrated aluminum bumper: Protects the body when driving in tight spaces.

Analog/Digital Instrumentation with Gauge: Includes an analog speedometer and tachometer plus a digital LCD display with electric fuel gauge.

LinQ System: The simplest fastening system in the powersports industry, offered exclusively by BRP. Includes four factory-installed clips to secure cargo bags or a spare fuel can.

Electronic reverse Electric starter

DESS RF Key: The ball-and-socket assembly with radio frequency microchip ensures a solid connection that does not depend on a physical connection between two surfaces.
