The 2018 Ski-Doo Expedition snowmobiles are in a class of their own. Born in Scandinavia, where marked trails are rare, they combine the comfort of touring snowmobiles with the off-trail capabilities and utility of work snowmobiles. With this versatility and an impressive range of capabilities, Expedition models are growing in popularity around the world.

Trail maneuverability is provided by the RAS 2 A-arm front suspension, and a well-tuned SC-5U rear suspension gives it its utilitarian edge. New this year, the articulating rear section can be set low for added traction, or raised for backing into deep snow. Plus, the Expedition performs extremely well for deep snow work or exploration, especially with its massive 391 cm x 51 cm (154″ x 20″) track and the flotation-ready hull found on most models. For work, you get a transmission with two forward gears, ample cargo space and a trailer hitch. And don’t forget the under-seat storage for your lunch and tools.

The Expedition Sport and basic Expedition LE are snowmobiles designed for work that can easily meet your recreational needs – and vice versa.

The Expedition SE model will satisfy snowmobilers who are looking for a fully equipped model and who like to go out together. The spring exclusive model includes an air-controlled suspension that allows you to adjust the preload without stopping the sled, a WARN winch with remote control, a storage box, a high-capacity battery, and more.

And let’s not forget the rebel model, the Expedition Xtreme – SUV-like with a 450 hp engine
450 hp engine. The hood of this unique snowmobile hides a 155 HP Rotax E-TEC 800R engine. Meanwhile, the KYB Pro 36 and HPB premium shocks help you handle the occasional bump and jump.

Overall, Expedition models are known for giving more – more than utility snowmobiles, and more than touring snowmobiles.

2018 Ski-Doo Expedition Xtreme

OVERVIEW

It’s by far the sportiest, most capable sport-utility model ever offered: the Ski-Doo Expedition Xtreme can go almost anywhere. quickly. It’s based on an already capable Expedition model, but with the added performance elements that snowmobilers have come to expect from the MXZ X-RS and Freeride models: a Rotax 800R E-TEC engine, KYB Pro shocks and Pilot DS 2 skis. And of course, if you’ve got work to do, the Synchromesh transmission, luggage rack and trailer hitch are always included. The color? The only one you can use for a vehicle of this sturdiness: black all the way through.

REV-X platform: Architecture and design that combine lightness, chassis strength and maneuverability. The industry standard. CHOICE OF ROTAX ENGINES

Rotax 800R E-TEC Engine: Direct injection technology engine with over 155 hp, yet fuel efficient with up to 12.3 L/100 km (19 mpg). It uses very little oil, provides instant response and greater throttle sensitivity, and generates virtually no smoke or odor. Storage preparations are a breeze with the automatic storage feature.

OVERVIEW

No other snowmobile on the market has more to offer than the Ski-Doo Expedition SE. Sure, it provides excellent touring/utility performance, and BRP adds a host of comfort and capability features like air-controlled suspension, WARN winch, skid plate, tilt handle, storage box, multiple accessory outlets and more.
