The 2018 Ski-Doo Tundra fills an important niche in the snowmobile market – the economical, versatile, unsurpassed deep snow vehicle. These attributes make it highly popular around the world for trapping, utility work, maple syrup production, and even carrying multiple people. Many also choose the Tundra as an economical snowmobile for fun at the cottage.

All three Tundra models are equipped with unique features not found on any competitive vehicle, and perhaps the most important of these features is the LTS telescopic front suspension. Its design allows for a wide, flat shell that helps the snowmobile float easily over snow and obstacles – much like a sled.

When it comes to the Tundra LT and Tundra Sport models, the Rotax 600 ACE engine choice is a must: the most fuel-efficient engine in the snowmobile world, specially designed for durability. And let’s not forget BRP’s exclusive Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) system with its learning key that electronically limits speed, a perfect feature for snowmobile parks and beginners.

Tundra Xtreme :A sporty snowmobile designed to have fun in deep snow and climb steep slopes.
Tundra LT :Model that provides a lot of fun off-piste and in deep snow.
Tundra Sport :Fun to ride, agile and affordable snowmobile.

2018 Ski-Doo Tundra Xtreme

OVERVIEW

Who says that people who ride the biggest mountains must have the most exciting off-road models? Certainly not Ski-Doo. Many people want to experience the thrill of off-trail, mountain, and deep snow exploration without the need for the superior features and performance required for high mountains. That’s exactly what the Tundra Xtreme does. It has the legendary off-road maneuverability and agility of Tundra snowmobiles, with the power and liveliness of the Rotax 600 H.O. E-TEC engine, a wide range of performance features, and brilliant coloring.

PLATEFORM

REV-X platform: Architecture and design that combine lightness, chassis strength and maneuverability. The industry standard. The ability to assume different driving positions allows for a relaxed driving style as well as a more dynamic approach, whether sitting or standing. The driver can stretch his legs thanks to a more advanced foot position.

Tundra Style: Distinctive, rugged looking platform, unique to Tundra models, offering excellent wind protection. The hull design is optimized for better flotation in deep snow.

SUSPENSION

SC-5U Rear Suspension: For a sophisticated yet comfortable ride on and off the trail. Features an articulating rail that offers two settings: free and locked. The free position reduces the footprint on the trail for easier turning and better fuel economy, while providing more efficient reverse in deep snow. The locked position provides maximum traction and flotation for towing and off-trail driving.

LTS Front Suspension: The telescopic suspension and large front shell are the main elements responsible for the unmatched deep snow capabilities of this snowmobile.

81 cm (32″) Ski Gap: Very narrow ski gap for better maneuverability between trees.

PRINCIPALES CARACTÉRISTIQUES

Forward-facing handlebar riser block: Allows for a more natural position when riding upright. Can also be adjusted 5 cm (2 in.) to the rear.

Pilot DS 2 Skis: Center-keel skis that offer excellent sidecut performance while the thin edges bite into the snow more. Narrower, thinner and stiffer skis. The rear tip of the ski is flattened to facilitate countersteering and sidehill riding.

ProLite Track: 16″ x 154″ x 2.5″ (41cm x 391cm x 6.35cm) long profile track with soft, hollow side and rigid center lugs that significantly improve acceleration and performance in deep snow.

Rear and central HPG shocks

REV-XM Running Boards: Larger openings for easy snow evacuation, stronger extruded edges provide excellent grip for boots.

REV-XM Seat: Very narrow front seat with a lowered profile for easy side-to-side transition. 3.2L of storage space in the seat base.

Stiff Grip: Borrowed from the Summit REV-XM models, the stiff grip provides greater leverage and confidence when performing more technical movements.

Integrated aluminum bumper: Protects the body when driving in tight spaces.

Analog/Digital Instrumentation with Gauge: Includes an analog speedometer and tachometer plus a digital LCD display with electric fuel gauge.

LinQ System: The simplest fastening system in the powersports industry, offered exclusively by BRP. Includes four factory-installed clips to secure cargo bags or a spare fuel can.

Rotax Electronic Reverse (RER): A system that weighs practically nothing as a single button reverses the direction of the engine.

Electric starter: Standard

DESS RF Key: The ball-and-socket assembly with radio frequency microchip ensures a solid connection that does not depend on a physical connection between two surfaces.

Coloration : White and Mantis Green

CHOICE OF ROTAX ENGINES

600 H.O. E-TEC Engine: The benchmark in the 600cc engine class for fuel economy, oil consumption, smooth operation and ease of use. Fuel economy is up to 11.3 L/100 km on the trail. Virtually no smoke or odor and easy starting. Storage preparations are a breeze with the automatic storage feature.

2018 Ski-Doo Tundra LT

OVERVIEW

The Tundra LT model provides superior traction, flotation and load capacity compared to the base Tundra Sport model. It has a longer 391 cm (154 in.) track, and retains its extended seat to accommodate an occasional passenger and a sturdy luggage rack.

Intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) (600 ACE): Unique in the industry, this electronically controlled system offers several options, including three driving modes that can be selected without stopping the vehicle (Sport, Standard and ECO) and a learning key that limits speed for less experienced drivers. Not to mention the instant response and reduced finger or thumb fatigue.

Finger Throttle (600 ACE): The throttle lever can be swung forward without tools to become a finger throttle, depending on the operator’s preference.

DESS RF Key (600 ACE): The ball-and-socket assembly with RF microchip provides a solid connection that does not rely on a physical connection between two surfaces.

Air-cooled radiator with fan: Increased cooling capacity for towing larger loads in light snow conditions or at low speeds (600 ACE engine)

Stiff Grip: Borrowed from the Summit REV-XM models, the stiff grip provides greater leverage and confidence when performing more technical movements.
