Genesis 998 Turbocharged Engine – The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine is unmatched when it comes to delivering awesome power with Yamaha’s signature refinement and quality. Lowered and slightly moved back track housing – New for 2019, the track housing has been moved back to make room for the more efficient 8-tooth extraverted guide wheels. The housing has also been redesigned to create more space, and now has slightly narrower running boards for better maneuverability in deep snow.
New Stealth Controls – Handlebar controls include a left-hand grip switch that allows the rider to access the new heated grips and thumb warmer settings. A toggle button displays various information on the multifunction display, while the push button for reverse is also located on the left handlebar. The right-hand side of the handlebar is uncluttered and has only a new ergonomic throttle and a self-contained emergency stop switch. In addition, the new Hayes brake cylinder is connected to the short-throw composite brake lever, improving the riding feel with increased modulation for exemplary braking power.
Premium FOX® FLOAT® QS3 shocks – The front suspension features Fox FLOAT air shocks and the premium QS3 tuning system for increased adjustability. The front arm of the rear suspension also features the Float QS3, while the rear arm is taken up a notch with a Float QSL shock designed specifically for the mountains and featuring a locking circuit for extreme climbs. Other notable features include a de-icing sealing system, speed-sensitive damping and high-strength anodized components.
