Ski-Doo Summit snowmobilers know that nothing beats the thrill of a powder snowmobile ride. From riding through powdery terrain, to slaloming through compact undergrowth, to exploring uncharted territory, there’s no experience on earth like the feeling you get at the wheel of a 2021 Ski-Doo Summit.

What makes the Ski-Doo Summit experience so unique? For starters, there’s the REV Gen4 platform, which is so maneuverable that it takes only a glance from the rider to adjust the vehicle’s trajectory. Powered by a choice of Rotax two-stroke engines with remarkable response, the Summit expresses the relationship between the rider, the snowmobile and the epic terrain like no other vehicle.

And in 2021, BRP engineers are building on last winter’s momentum with the 850 E-TEC Turbo, the first factory-produced turbocharged two-stroke engine. Riders can enjoy the full power of an industry-leading two-stroke engine up to an altitude of 8,000 feet. While enjoying a 40 hp advantage over other non-turbo 850 engines when they want to venture higher to discover new playgrounds.

More than just a new engine, it’s a lightweight, turbocharged package designed entirely by Rotax. With no turbo lag, it delivers the instantaneous response of the 850 E-TEC that snowmobilers have come to love. In addition to making full power at half the weight of leading aftermarket turbo packages, the optimized configuration balances the snowmobile from left to right for easy riding. In addition, the Summit X and Summit X with Expert Package with 850 E-TEC Turbo option come standard with a new ultra-lightweight one-piece hood.

New for 2021, the Summit X with Expert Package features this ultra-lightweight one-piece hood and offers a new 175-inch track option. Snowmobilers will appreciate the freedom of movement provided by the new ultra-low seat, specially designed to move more easily from side to side.

Buyers who opt for an X model will be pleased to notice the migration of features from the Expert package, such as the new sleek tunnel design that provides ultimate mobility in deep snow. The improved leg and ski stop significantly increase the Model X’s consistent mountainside ride, and the smaller handlebar and compact weatherproof seat perfect an already rider-centric ergonomics.

The naturally-aspirated Rotax 850 E-TEC is available on all three versions of the Summit model, while the 600R E-TEC is available on the Summit SP. With a host of enhancements such as a new gauge, an improved handlebar with a smaller diameter, and a redesigned leg and ski stop, the SP offers deep-snow enthusiasts a very attractive option.

With the ever-increasing popularity of low-altitude deep snowmobiles, BRP offers two drivetrain calibrations for the Summit X and Summit X with Expert Package (only): a high altitude calibration for altitudes over 1,200 meters, and a sea level calibration for altitudes below 1,200 meters.

SUMMIT X 2021 with Expert Package

OVERVIEW

Deep snow enthusiasts love to find new playgrounds, tackle more intense conditions and simply ride the deepest powder possible. Since its introduction in 2020, the Summit X model with Expert Package has offered them a whole new way to enjoy winter. For its return in 2021, the Expert Package once again offers a whole new way to experience winter fun.

Specially designed and engineered by BRP engineers with input from Ski-Doo ambassadors to handle the most technical terrain and deepest powder, the Summit X with Expert Package has shattered the very definition of deep snow sleds with its attention to detail. With eye-popping features like the short tunnel design, snowmobilers instantly dream of the unattainable reaches of powder. With a leg and ski stop design that focuses on consistency of riding on the side of the mountain, the rider can envision conquering the densest technical glades. All of this sits on the industry’s most dynamic platform, the REV Gen4, to give snowmobilers the peace of mind of control that lets them do anything.

And in 2021, Ski-Doo is pushing the envelope even further with the integration of the new Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo engine and the new 175-inch track option. The first factory-built turbocharged two-stroke engine delivers the full 165 horsepower of the 850 E-TEC up to 8,000 feet, and continues to offer a 40 horsepower advantage over other naturally-aspirated two-stroke engines as the driver continues to climb. It provides industry-leading acceleration with no turbo lag for ultimate control. And in addition to offering a perfectly balanced design in the chassis, it weighs half as much as a typical aftermarket package.

And with other enhancements like the ultra-lightweight one-piece hood, ultra-compact weatherproof seat, new gauge, choice of tracks and improved clutch cooling, the Summit X 2021 with Expert Package is nothing less than the deep-snow enthusiast’s dream vehicle to hold the handlebars.

2021 SUMMIT X

OVERVIEW

The search for new challenges and more technical terrain is an integral part of the Summit X snowmobiler. Higher slopes, tighter glades and deeper powder are what they’re after. For 2021, the Summit X gives the snowmobiler even more ways to push the limits.

Starting with the ultimate platform, the ultra-dynamic REV Gen4, drivers know they have the advantage of superior confidence at the helm of a vehicle over which they have complete control, no matter the terrain. And that’s not counting a few key changes that take the ride to new heights, and the driver’s mind to new dreams.

For 2021, these changes include the short tunnel design that increases mobility for deeper powder. The revised leg and ski stop increase consistency of sidehill riding on more technical days. Smaller diameter handlebars and a new low-profile, weather-resistant seat improve the Summit X’s ergonomics and rider mobility on the snowmobile.

These changes alone would be enough to push the limits of any vehicle, but Ski-Doo engineers went even further. The 2021 model year also welcomes the new 850 E-TEC Turbo – the first factory-built turbocharged two-stroke engine – as an option on the Summit X.

The ultra-lightweight turbo package, designed entirely by Rotax, gives snowmobilers the same instant acceleration they love from the naturally-aspirated 850 E-TEC engine, with the full power of its 165 horsepower up to 8,000 feet. And if the rider wants to climb higher, they can count on 40 more horsepower than competing naturally-aspirated two-stroke engines. It’s all perfectly balanced in the chassis, with half the weight of a typical aftermarket turbo package.

The Summit X is also available with the option of a naturally-aspirated 850 E-TEC engine, the game-changing engine in the deep snow industry. Accompanied by a 154- or 165-inch PowderMax track wrapped around a tMotion rear suspension, both choices ensure epic thrills and moments.

Meanwhile, the RAS 3 front suspension rounds out the package with its incredible agility in deep snow. The Summit X is the perfect choice for snowmobilers who are more ready than ever to hit the powder and mountainsides.

2021 SUMMIT SP

OVERVIEW

Effortless in nature, the REV Gen4 platform offers snowmobilers unmatched agility and dynamism in deep snow, qualities that allow the rider to conserve energy to enjoy each ride much longer – just like every snowmobiler dreams of.

Drivers also want an engine that provides instant acceleration and reliable power to get to places with incredible views and create epic memories that will last a lifetime. That’s the kind of power that comes with the Rotax 850 E-TEC and 600R E-Tec engines offered with the SP. Each delivers addictive response and class-leading power with the Rotax reputation for efficiency and longevity. All in all, the Summit SP makes for plenty of incredible memories.

The Summit SP is available in-season with a choice of four 16-inch tracks surrounding the high-performance tMotion rear suspension. Purchasers can choose from 146, 154, 165 or 175 inches in length – 146 to 165 with 2.5-inch profile, and 175 with 3-inch profile.

Up front, the agile RAS 3 suspension features highly effective HPG shocks to ensure a reliable ride, whether in the deepest powder or on the trail to the next snowy playground. A revised strut and ski stop improve the consistency of technical riding on the mountainside.
