Many kids get their start on a Yamaha SRX120. Several safety measures are built in to ensure that it leaves a pleasant impression – both on the youngster and the adults who watch his or her progress! The roar of its reliable, easy-to-start engine is a sure sign that a great day is about to begin.

HIGHLIGHTS

Yamaha’s 123cc engine with electric starter delivers spirited performance and years of dependability.

A built-in switch automatically shuts off the engine when the rider is not operating the snowmobile or when the hood is open.

A highly visible whip antenna is mounted on the back of the SRX120R to signal to others that a young person is honing their skills.

Like Yamaha’s full-size snowmobiles, the SRX120 benefits from a fully functional suspension with torsion springs and a sliding spar to provide 11.4 cm (4.5″) of travel.

There’s no need to worry about visibility. The headlight is bright and the taillight is equally bright, and they all come on automatically when the engine is running.

PERFORMANCE

A governor is easily adjusted to control the top speed and acceleration of the snowmobile, allowing an adult supervisor to increase these elements as the youth gains confidence and hones their skills.

A fully electronic ignition system ensures reliable and easy starts, winter after winter, without requiring adjustments!

MANIABILITY

The all-plastic skis are designed with a perfectly matched keel to provide precise and predictable handling, while delivering low-effort steering.

Like Yamaha’s full-size snowmobiles, the SRX120 takes advantage of a fully functional suspension with torsion springs and a sliding spar to provide 11.4 cm (4.5″) of travel.

These essentials help prevent damage to the frame; they also help move the snowmobile when it needs to be pulled either from the front or the back.

At dusk, it’s good to know that the ignition key is removed and eliminates any attempt to continue having fun in the snow, unattended.

CONFORT

Any parent knows that a child’s icy hands cut short their day of fun in the snow. Well, the SRX120’s standard heated handgrips help extend the ride for hours.

The curved seat, wrapped in foam, is very comfortable and provides a safe riding position that inspires a lot of confidence in the young snowmobiler.

The cushioned handlebars help protect the young rider from hitting the handlebar in case of a slip or sudden stop.

The convenient storage compartment holds mittens, hats and other essentials, so they’re close at hand when needed.
