2023 Lynx Xterrain

Xterrain RE is a tailor-made extreme crossover snowmobile for riders who enjoy long distance on and off-trail adventures in demanding terrain. Featuring sporty suspension, extremely powerful Rotax engines and track dimensions optimized for various snow conditions, the Xterrain RE truly is a perfect blend of on and off-trail performance. The Xterrain RE comes with two engine options. Rotax 850 E-TEC offers instant throttle response and a feeling of power with every throttle squeeze. Rotax 900 ACE Turbo R, in turn, brings 180hp four-stroke turbo power with three riding modes, ferocious acceleration and unprecedented fun in a class of 4-stroke crossover snowmobiles.

The Xterrain RE features a PPS3 rear suspension that is already well known from the Rave RE model. PPS3 rear suspension’s independent operation of center and rear arms, combined with long and progressive travel, offers unmatched suspension capacity and allows optimum weight transfer and constant delivery of power to the snow. Massive KYB 46 HLCR Kashima shocks provide motion sensitivity as well as ultimate bump absorbing capacity. The suspension offers a wide operation range – it works equally well on groomed trails as well as on twisty, choppy sections. Three-way adjustability of the shocks helps to optimize the suspension for the rider’s preferences and riding conditions. The 146’’ long and 16’’ wide PowderMax track with 2’’ lugs offer a perfect combination of deep snow capacity and agility on the trail riding for adventurous riders.

Blade XC+ skis put the final touches to the superior handling of the Xterrain RE snowmobile by providing sharp and precise steering in any snow conditions.

Xterrain RE features two pairs of LinQ attachment bases and it is customizable with a large variety of LinQ accessories. As an example, the LinQ Trail Bag with its expandable storage from 9 to 30 L capacity fits perfectly for trail riding; the 100% waterproof lightweight trail bag is perfect for keeping things like extra gear dry for when you need it. The LinQ Jerry can with 15 L capacity helps to lengthen the operation range and brings extra peace of mind for longer adventures.

Why the Lynx Xterrain Brutal?

  • The most rugged crossover snowmobile in the history of Lynx, combining the performance of the Rotax 850 E-TEC engine with unswerving deep snow capability.
  • EasyRide rear suspension with a 20 x 154 x 2.4’’ track makes Xterrain Brutal virtually unstoppable in deep snow.

2023 Lynx Xterrain

Purpose-built, rugged, virtually unstoppable. The Xterrain Brutal is a no-frills extreme crossover snowmobile that combines power, deep snow performance and handling in an unprecedented way. Xterrain Brutal’s roots are deep in the history of Lynx. From the very beginning wide track snowmobiles have been cornerstone of the Lynx story. The European cross-country racing scene has been dominated by Lynx for decades. For years, the fascinating idea of combining these two extremes teased the Lynx product development team. Now this idea has materialized in the Xterrain Brutal snowmobile.

Xterrain Brutal is powered by 165hp Rotax 850 E-TEC engine that ensures instant throttle response and red-blooded performance. The 154’’ long and 20’’ wide track with 2.4’’ lugs offers a huge footprint and maximal flotation in deep snow and, with its insane traction, allows the full use of the performance generated by the powerful engine. Instead of a gearbox usually used on wide track snowmobiles, Xterrain Brutal runs with a pDrive – QRS drivetrain that is optimized for deep snow. This solution offers weight savings, making Xterrain Brutal even more purpose-built for deep snow.

For a snowmobile with a larger track, Xterrain Brutal is effortless to handle, thanks to the Radien platform and best-in class power-to-weight ratio. The tipped rail design of the EasyRide rear suspension makes the sled feel shorter than 154” – both on and off trail. Precise handling is perfected by the Blade DS+ skis that offer flotation and precision in
any snow conditions.

The Xterrain Brutal is not only a weapon for the backlands. Thanks to the high quality, Kashima-coated KYB 36 shocks in the front suspension and sturdy KYB 46 Kashima shocks in the rear suspension, the Xterrain Brutal performs well in fast-paced riding on various trail conditions also.
