Living in northern climates, where snowstorms can slow down and often stop all activities, requires you to have options at your disposal. Tools that are reliable and capable, like a truck, but that can handle the snow to get the job done. Plus, these tools can provide a real sense of accomplishment, and even a lot of fun – which is where the 2023 Ski-Doo Skandic comes in.

With incredible work capabilities and a design that allows it to float on virtually any snowy terrain, it’s the tool that workers will have the most fun using, with the ability to adapt to conditions and dominate whatever surprises Mother Nature has up her sleeve. And this year, the new LE and SE packages add additional features, track choices and engines to enhance the experience.

The Spring only SE package brings a richer mix of premium utility features to the Skandic line with high pressure gas (HPG) shocks in the rear suspension, a full wrap-around front bumper for additional protection while travelling in tight woods, a huge 135 L LinQ utility cargo box to carry all the tools and gear needed, a 7.2-inch digital gauge plus three engine and five 20- or 24-inch-wide track choices. The LE will offer four engine and two track choices of 20 or 24-inche widths.

2023 Ski-Doo Skandic

Serving as the basis for the rugged, do-anything attitude of every Skandic is the REV Gen4 platform with its open cockpit design, beveled tunnel and wide, flat running boards that provides freedom of movement for the rider. The chassis operates with responsive, agile – two words not often associated with utility sleds – handling and pairs it with the industry standards for flotation and adaptability.

Riders have choices of advanced 2- or 4-stroke Rotax engines to power the Skandic lineup. Power options for the ultimate sport-utility sleds include the Rotax 600R E-TEC and 600 EFI 2-stroke to go along with the, 900 ACE and 600 ACE 4-stroke choices.

The telescopic front suspension leads the way paired with a wide, flat belly pan for floating in the deepest snow with little drag. The deep keel Pilot 7.4 skis also add to the floatation and provide true tracking on hardpacked trails, sharp off-trail handling and improved reverse performance.

Sitting underneath the tunnel is the articulated SC-5U rear suspension that has become an industry stalwart for sport-utility snowmobiles. With an articulating rear section, it offers shorter handling feel on the trails and awesome reversing capability in deep snow. It can also be locked out for towing, making the Skandic incredibly versatile.

What makes the 2023 Ski-Doo Skandic the ultimate in versatility is the inclusion of the Ski-Doo-exclusive Multi-LinQ Plate on the rear tunnel. This gem of a feature has quickly become a sport-utility rider’s best friend due to its unprecedented functionality. Capable of accepting both 20- and 16-inch LinQ accessories, it adds unbelievable adaptability by allowing riders to take everything they need for the ride and then some.
