BORN ON THE TRACK. BRED FOR THE TRAILS
Since its debut in 2007, the Rave RE has been the top of the line performance model in the Lynx lineup. At the time, the Rave RE on the R-EVO platform, was the model that without prejudice brought race-proven technology to the Lynx trail sport segment. The robust structure, high performance and suspension made to tame the fiercest of trails made the Rave RE immediately a synonym for the sport snowmobile in Scandinavia. Since then, the Rave RE has been one of the top selling Lynx models – developing year-by-year as an unmatched trail sport snowmobile for the harshest trail conditions. The Rave RE has also found a large group of fans on North American snow after the model became available in Canada and the US for the 2022 season. As a showcase of the model’s success, Supertrax Magazine nominated Rave RE as the Real World Sled of the Year 2022.
Model year 2024 brings the next big step in the evolution of the Rave RE. The crown jewel of Lynx trail sport snowmobiles gets a new Radien2 platform which is tailor made for active riding. The regeneration of the Rave RE includes improved rider ergonomics, new powerful 4-piston brake, the industry leading 10.25’’ Color Touchscreen Display, extremely efficient LED headlights and further improved suspension calibrations to offer a more sporty and more comfortable riding experience. The unique PPS3 rear suspension together with LFS+ front suspension and their massive, three way adjustable KYB PRO 46 HLCR Kashima shock absorbers are re-calibrated for aggressive riding on varying trails – not forgetting weight transfer and comfort.
With these significant improvements, the MY24 Lynx Rave RE is ready to take up the baton from its predecessor. The leader of rough trails is faster than ever!
Why Lynx Rave RE?
- Trail sport snowmobile tailor made for demanding Nordic trail conditions with premium level riding characteristics.
- New era of Radien2 platform brings renewed riding experience with improved ergonomics, better lighting performance, 10.25” Color Touchscreen Display with BRP Connect (optional) and more powerful brakes.
- Re-calibrated PPS3 rear suspension and LFS+ front suspension with KYB PRO 46 HLCR Kashima shocks offer better bottoming resistance and a more comfortable ride.
The 2024 Rave RE is based on the new Radien2 platform that offers fresh design and improved riding experience. The new platform features a noise reduction package that dampens noise from the engine compartment which makes the riding experience more quiet and enjoyable.
The Rotax 850 E-TEC powerplant features a new 4-point mounting system to the chassis, which means less vibration and longer belt life. New drive shaft attachment system is 30% quicker to remove which significantly speeds up the track swapping process. For more precise control and solid braking, the Rave RE gets a new 4-piston brake with improved master cylinder. New adjustable brake lever helps to fine tune the touch according to the rider’s physics and preferences. The new seat is tailor made for active riding style: the new design of the seat helps the rider stay in position when braking. The new seat is narrower all over, but the widest part is moved forward for a more relaxed riding position.
For better nighttime visibility, the Rave RE features new LED headlights which close to triple the lighting power with 4800 lumens. The new light system comes with 4 LED modules (2 for high, 2 for low beam) that provide an extremely bright and wide light pattern to maximize visibility when riding in dark conditions.
For a new level of awareness, the Rave RE features the optional 10.25’’ Color Touchscreen Display that can be paired with the next generation BRP GO! app to offer next level navigation, the ability to track your fellow riders, and more.
Suspension has always been the Rave RE’s differentiating factor. For Rave riders, a rough trail means an opportunity to extend the lead.
The secret of the unrivaled riding experience of the PPS3 rear suspension is its fully independent center and rear arms and unique structure with progressive operation. Together with long travel and fully adjustable (high/low compression damping & rebound damping), premium level KYB PRO 46 HLCR Kashima coated shock absorbers, the suspension has huge capability to tame everything from low pitched chatter bumps to the nastiest moguls on the trail.
Controlled weight transfer and the tendency to lift skis when accelerating are sought-after characteristics for the Rave RE. For model year 2024, Rave RE gets re-calibrated setups for both the PPS3 rear suspension and LFS+ front suspension. The new calibration gives better bottoming resistance while the motion sensitivity of the suspension has also been improved. As a whole, the new calibration offers better performance and more comfort in any trail conditions to enhance the feeling that the rider is always in command and can ride longer days with less fatigue.
A studded 15 x 137 x 1.25 (381 x 3487 x 32 mm) Ice Ripper XT track offers an optimal combination of traction and performance under varying trail conditions.
The LFS+ front suspension is designed to co-operate seamlessly with the rear suspension. The front suspension features the same high quality KYB PRO 46 HLCR Kashima shocks as the skid and perfect control is ensured with the Blade XC+ skis. The ski is known for its ability to maintain its directional stability and predictability in different snow conditions and steer sharp in corners.
Rave RE’s Rotax 850 E-TEC engine is best suited for those who expect fierce acceleration and raw peak performance from a sled. The arm-stretching acceleration and endless power of the 165 horsepower and 849 cc direct injection engine come into play not only on fast-paced runs, but also on long day trips. In addition, Rotax 850 E-TEC has the best-in-class fuel economy.
Two pairs of LinQ attachment bases are standard equipment on the Rave RE, facilitating accessorization according to rider’s preferences.
