When riders are searching for the ultimate weapon to attack trails with, their focus will always turn to the MXZ models where they now can choose 129” or 137” track lengths. The MXZ name is rooted in the motocross world with the abbreviated MX acronym and just like moto, that’s the product focus, a snowmobile that’s the ultimate weapon for conquering rough and nasty terrain. Born and bred through a racing heritage on snocross and cross-country tracks, these high-performance snowmobiles have the capability to keep up with the most advanced, demanding riders, and take their experience to new levels of fun and excitement. From the thrill of executing perfect turns, the satisfaction of skipping through moguled trails and that tickle in your stomach with the brutal pull on your arms and neck from raw acceleration – MXZ models deliver what riders crave most – adrenaline, in huge doses.
For 2024 all MXZ full size models except the Sport and NEO are based on the REV Gen5 platform with a forward steering column position that offers riders room to easily move around the cockpit and interpret trails as they want. There’s also a standardized higher front suspension travel of 10.4 inches – the X-RS level – for all MXZ’s except the Sport package, which results in more bump absorbing capability. Combining that with lightweight Rotax 2-stroke engines for high power to weight ratios creates an extremely agile and responsive package that can take on any type of terrain with ease, letting riders dictate how they attack the trails.
And this is where the sledgehammer comes in – if the Rotax 600 EFI, 600R E-TEC or 850 E-TEC power choices aren’t enough to satisfy a rider’s desire, the new 850 E-TEC Turbo R with water injection technology and 180 horsepower certainly will be!
The new Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo R with water injection is the most powerful 2-stroke trail engine available and will be paired with the Competition Package for an even higher level of capability that will be offered in limited quantities in the MXZ X-RS only. And hold on, slow down – with all that power you need to balance things and Ski-Doo does that – with the new RS inspired 4 piston brake caliper, improved master cylinder and adjustable lever that will be on all X-RS models for 2024.
Also new for 2024 will be the combination of the Rotax 600R E-TEC and the REV Gen5 platform that unites all the best handling characteristics of the most capable chassis on snow with rMotion X, RAS X, KYB PRO shocks, Pilot X skis and Rack Steering. Those who appreciate uncompromising performance that gives them an edge over the pack now have a 600cc choice also.
2024-Ski-Doo-MXZ
The highly acclaimed Smart-Shox, that intuitively reads terrain and sled performance to instantly create the perfect ride in any conditions, will again be an option on the X-RS model.
The returning MXZ Neo models were created to entice new people to try snowmobiling and fill a gap between mini and full-size snowmobiles for many enthusiast families – turns out everyone loves them! Whether it’s the easy to start, quiet and smooth running engine, smaller ergonomics or great value, Neo models provide everyone with a ride every bit as good as a full-sized sled no matter their experience level.
Completing the MXZ line up are models for the youngest enthusiasts. These riders have a sled to call their own with the MXZ 120 and MXZ 200 that are styled after the big sleds.
