Easy, precise control, rugged power and raw, everyday performance in deep snow, anywhere and in any snow conditions. The 2022 Lynx BoonDocker DS models are designed for snowmobilers who demand raw performance and agility in the most demanding conditions and on the most varied terrain – from fresh powder to crust. Their features shine especially in aggressive, high-speed riding in deep snow.

The Radien DS era Lynx BoonDocker DS snowmobiles introduced in 2018 had a radical effect – their maneuverability revolutionized the deep snowmobile industry. With unique technical solutions like the short tunnel and rear axle snow guard, as well as the distinctive Scandinavian design and ergonomics of the Radien DS platform, BoonDocker DS models are the most balanced deep snowmobiles on the market. Specifically designed for northern conditions, the Lynx deep snow models are expected to perform in all conditions, from deep powder to slush to hard snow.

Over the years, the BoonDocker DS line has been constantly refined to provide the perfect deep snow riding experience. And one of the major milestones of this refinement, the PPS2 DS+ rear suspension, further enhances the performance and handling of BoonDocker DS models with its lightweight design. Up front, the Blade DS+ skis provide predictable steering in all conditions, tight turns in deep snow, and superior control on mountainsides, field slaloms and trails.

With their Rotax 850 E-TEC engine, BoonDocker models are synonymous with extreme power. Their powerful, instantaneous response allows snowmobilers to conquer the terrain with ease, and the low fuel consumption keeps the fun going all day long.

Why Lynx BoonDocker DS?

  • An industry-leading deep snow sport sled for demanding terrain, initially designed to dominate the harshest northern conditions.
  • The Radien DS platform and Blade DS+ skis combined with PPS2 DS+ rear and LFS front suspensions provide unique agility and predictability when the ride gets technical.
  • The Rotax 850 E-TEC offers thrilling acceleration and quick, precise response in all situations

Radien DS Platform: Cutting-edge design with the industry’s first short tunnel and an ultra-efficient snow guard on the rear axle. The origin of the design comes from the observation that a short tunnel reduces resistance on slopes and in deep snow, while offering a superior degree of maneuverability and performance in powder. The minimalist design of the snow guard attached to the rear axle optimizes cooling by redirecting snow ejected from the track directly onto the tunnel heat exchanger. Unlike a traditional snow guard, this design eliminates the effect of anchoring in deep snow and provides a lighter solution.

The principle of dynamic design for powder also applies to every detail of the Radien DS platform. From the chassis to the side panels, skid plate and bodywork, the overall design of the components is aimed at minimizing the width of the vehicle to promote dynamic driving. In other words, to provide an agile ride on mountainsides and in technical driving situations. In addition, with its low, narrow seat and highly functional steps, the cockpit is specially designed to facilitate maximum lateral movement for the driver.

PPS2 DS+ Rear Suspension: One of the keys to the performance and agility of the BoonDocker DS models is the PPS2 DS+ rear suspension. This is the first rear suspension manufactured by Lynx exclusively for deep snow sleds. The simple, lightweight structure of the PPS2 DS+ prevents snow from accumulating inside the rear suspension. The suspension and the snowmobile as a whole are lighter, and even in slush, the suspension works as intended because there are no limitations or extra weight. The slides form a small angle of attack on the track, which allows the snowmobile to climb more quickly on the snow. Like all other versions of the PPS, the PPS2 DS+ is a long-travel suspension and can handle bumps with ease. Whether you’re riding over old snowmobile tracks hidden under the snow when you’re on the side of the mountain, or having fun in the big bumps, it gives you a smooth, stable ride.

Blade DS+ Skis: Increase riding precision and predictability. Blade DS+ skis are a true masterpiece when it comes to snowmobile skis in variable snow conditions and aggressive powder riding. The Blade DS+ skis have very predictable characteristics – consistently precise and stable steering, high performance tight turns in powder, aggressive riding on the side of the mountain, and smooth comfort in a variety of snow types

Two track lengths: The high-altitude calibrated BoonDocker DS 4100 is best suited for snowmobilers who demand ultimate performance in the deep powder of the high peaks. The 400 mm wide, 4,178 mm long track with 76 mm (16 x 165 x 3 in.) profile provides a solid footprint that maximizes traction, even in incredibly demanding areas.

The BoonDocker DS 3900 with sea level calibration offers an excellent combination of performance, agility and fun on the most demanding technical terrain in variable snow conditions at low altitudes. It features a 400 mm wide, 3,912 mm long track with a 64 mm (16 x 154 x 2.5 in.) profile.
