MXZ models are created with racing DNA. Features tested and perfected in the toughest conditions, from tight, brutal snocross tracks to relentless impact and off-road competition like the Iron Dog, allow the MXZ to deliver unsurpassed surgical precision on tough, twisty, bumpy trails.
With the REV Gen4 platform and Rotax 850 E-TEC engine, the MXZ models redefine this type of fun and performance on the trail. They’re designed to deliver peak performance in tight corners and over the most demanding bumps with centralized mass, a very forward riding position, dynamic power and, of course, the best suspensions in the industry. For 2018, two highly anticipated new versions are moving to this platform: the MXZ X-RS and MXZ Blizzard models.
Designed to give you more control and the feeling of riding a light, dynamic bike, the REV Gen4 and 850 E-TEC combination is perfect for MXZ X-RS riders who love tight turns and bumps. The handlebars are further forward, the running boards are designed for stand-up riding, and the suspension is made up of the renowned KYB Pro high-capacity racing shocks.
With precision-oriented features like the adjustable Pilot TS skis and Ice Ripper XT track, the MXZ Blizzard 850 is the perfect snowmobile to take on the twisty trails with a smile.
All 2018 MXZ models offer this type of precision, capability and fun, and no other manufacturer offers as many choices to meet the needs, preferences and budget of snowmobilers, especially when it comes to engines. BRP offers SIX engine choices for its MXZ models, ranging from the powerful 850 E-TEC to the fuel-efficient 600 ACE.

2018 Ski-Doo MXZ X-RS
Overview
This model could very well be the most anticipated snowmobile of 2018, and with good reason: the 4th generation REV platform and 850 E-TEC engine combination combines precision, response, and ergonomics specifically designed to run freely through tight turns and bumps.
Think of the Ergo-Step side panels that allow the rider to lean further forward and to the side than ever before… add the new X-RS-exclusive, more forward handlebar position and adjustable lift block, and you’ll take corners like never before.
The MXZ X-RS ride is all about control of the snowmobile, upright, over bumps and jumps, and the 2018 version delivers the goods with its beveled tunnel, narrow seat and new wider, flat, reinforced running boards. Its centralized weights make it easier to control in the air, and both landings and rough bumps are a breeze with the renowned KYB Pro shocks designed for Ski-Doo racing snowmobiles – including the high-performance KYB Pro 36 R front shocks.
Not to mention the unsurpassed power and responsiveness of the Rotax 850 E-TEC engine, which allows the rider to raise and lower the snowmobile’s skis as needed.
Overall, more than any other MXZ, the 2018 MXZ X-RS model comes closer than ever to the ideal it’s named for: motocross. (That’s where MX came from…) With all that room to move, light weight, maneuverability, and instant response, it gives you the assurance of total control in tight turns, big bumps and jumps.
