2017 Yamaha Vector – The 2017 Yamaha snowmobile lineup is the most extensive ever, and with several new models, we’re signaling to the entire industry that Yamaha is here, ready to Conquer the Snow!

YAMAHA VECTOR 2017 LINE

2017 Yamaha Vector RS

Yamaha’s Vector maintains its stellar reputation mainly due to three factors: first, its reliable supercharged engine; second, its innovative technologies such as electric power steering and Tuner skis; and third, its ability to compete with any snowmobile – even those in a different class. The Vector features cutting-edge technologies, including Yamaha’s YCC-T engine management system that optimizes fuel flow, while the Fox FLOAT 3 XV rear shock works in tandem with the 129-inch Single Shot rear air suspension to gracefully glide through the snow.

Yamaha Engine Management System

Yamaha’s electronic throttle system provides the optimum air-fuel mixture based on the position of the throttle body. The system controls the fuel flow to provide three distinct performance levels of the rider’s choice: sport, touring and basic.

Electrically Assisted Steering

Exclusive to Yamaha, electric power steering dramatically reduces steering effort and provides unprecedented handling.

Genesis 120FI Four-Stroke Engine:

From the start, engineers designed it as the ultimate trail engine. Simplicity, fuel efficiency, outstanding performance… these are the watchwords that have guided the design of the Genesis 120FI. The advanced fuel injection system ensures that the engine always produces optimum power and consumes fuel efficiently, depending on the conditions.

Fine Point Gasoline Injection

Yamaha’s advanced fuel injection system controls the flow of fuel to the engine. All snowmobile enthusiasts love the crisp performance and quick throttle response that comes from this advanced system.

Engine Brake Reduction Device

This device allows a small amount of air into the fuel injection system when the throttle is released, giving the driver the feeling of “slipping” when he or she releases the throttle.

Tuner Skis
Tuner dual-keel skis greatly reduce wobble, and offer a host of carbide stringer adjustments (from stringer to bite).

Instrumentation

There’s a great array of instruments to keep you informed, including a speedometer, odometer, odometer, clock and oil change reminder indicator. There’s even an odometer that shows how far you’ve traveled since the low fuel warning light came on!

Two DC outlets

The first one is car-like and can be used to connect a cell phone, GPS or other electronic accessories; the other one is RCA-like and can be used to connect a headset visor or other small accessory.

Deltabox II Chassis

The main objective of the Deltabox II frame is to provide a comfortable forward riding position. To achieve this, the handlebars and seat are raised and positioned further forward on the frame. This riding position allows the rider to stand up and sit down easily and comfortably. As a result, the combined weight of the rider and the snowmobile is centralized for the most precise handling.

New Front Shocks

High Pressure Gas (HPG) front shocks. Provide an impressive ride comfort, while offering a 20% weight savings over their predecessors.

Rear Suspension Single Shot

The new Single Shot rear suspension offers a 4.5 kilo savings over the old Vector suspension. In addition to being lighter, the Fox FLOAT 3 XV shocks simplify setup and customization.

1.25 Ripsaw Track

This track is open and stapled along its entire length to counteract track slippage. Openings and staples also contribute to extend the useful life of Hyfax slides. Specifically, each pitch has open windows and each pin has metal guide clips.

Windshield

Windshield similar to that of the Apex series; it offers increased protection while preserving the lightness of the snowmobile.

2017 Yamaha Vector RS X-TX 175

Off the beaten path, the Camoplast Vector X-TX 1.75 Backcountry Track is as agile as a polar fox. It features a myriad of refined assets, including the engine management system, Yamaha’s YCC-T electronic throttle control system, Single Shot air suspension in the rear, and electric power steering. Versatility is the name of the game for the Vector, and that’s bad news for the competition!
