The off-trail experience in deep snow is unlike any other in the world, and when experienced at the controls of a 2020 Ski-Doo Summit, the combination is virtually indescribable. With the perfect blend of power and precision, the snowmobiler can go from a graceful slalom descent through the powder to a powerful, fearless climb through controlled chaos in the blink of an eye.
The secret to such a versatile snowmobile is dynamic engine and platform response. By combining a refined, ultra-agile chassis with dynamic Rotax two-stroke engines, the Summit gives snowmobilers the ultimate control to dominate Mother Nature’s most epic playgrounds. Allowing the rider to confidently position themselves at the edge of their comfort zone and then push their limits with a simple thumb or head movement is what sets the Summit apart.
For 2020, snowmobilers who want to push the limits of their comfort zone instead of just pushing them have a new choice: the 2020 Summit X with Expert Package. When it’s time to tackle a really technical trail or go through dense undergrowth, this is the snowmobile that lets riders redefine their comfort zones.
With REV Gen4 architecture, the power of a Rotax 850 E-TEC engine, and a host of rider-centric features, the Expert Package was specifically designed by the team of Ski-Doo’s most passionate off-road experts and enthusiasts. The ultimate goal of this model is to allow experienced snowmobilers to strengthen their skills and discover new ways to experience that “so Ski-Doo” feeling.
For 2020, the Summit X, Summit SP and Summit Sport models return to the Summit lineup. Snowmobilers driving an X or SP model will appreciate the effortless handling of the nimble REV Gen4 platform with upgraded running boards, and the instant response of the powerful Rotax 850 E-TEC engine. Buyers who opt for the SP model can also choose the popular Rotax 600R E-TEC. All Summit REV Gen4 sleds also offer the option of adding Ski-Doo’s exclusive SHOT system with battery-free start button, one of the most sought-after options on the market.
The Summit Sport returns in 2020 to offer budget-minded snowmobilers a high-performance vehicle at a very affordable price. Its REV-XP rigid chassis and
The robust and reliable Rotax 600 Carb makes it easy to maneuver, offering enough power to tackle the powder.

2020 SKI-DOO SUMMIT PACKAGES
SKI-DOO SUMMIT X 2020 with Expert Package
OVERVIEW
The trees are closer together. The slopes are steeper. The snow is deeper. The challenge is greater, but the reward is incomparable. Rarely do we see a snowmobile change the way we read the terrain and increase the number of places snowmobilers can go. The Summit X 2020 with Expert Package is the snowmobile that can quench that thirst to go further.
To design this new package, the engineers didn’t just go back to their drawing board-they went to the mountain, and they didn’t go alone. Starting with the adroit REV Gen4 platform, they enlisted the help of Ski-Doo’s team of off-trail experts and other top snowmobilers. Working from their feedback, they added and changed features to improve handling and performance, and to create a snowmobile capable of opening up the horizons of riders seeking more technical terrain.
The Expert Package is based on the same REV Gen4 platform that has become the industry standard for capability and competence. Powered by the Rotax 850 E-TEC engine, it delivers the dynamic response and instant power that have won over snowmobilers around the world. Its focused and balanced features ensure perfect synchronization between rider and machine, giving the rider full control in every maneuver. The package will only be available with 154″ or 165″ track and 3″ profile, two colors, high altitude or sea level calibration and SHOT starter.
The vehicle’s capabilities are expanded with standard features never before offered on a Summit model. The tMotion rear and RAS 3 front suspensions feature stiffer KYB shocks with lightweight springs. The front features KYB HPG Plus shocks with Kashima coating, while the rear features a KYB HPG Plus center shock and a KYB Pro 36 EA rear shock with easy compression adjustment.
The suspension improvements go far beyond a firmer calibration. The front also features a redesigned lightweight ski leg with ski stop to improve handling on technical terrain. At the rear, the tMotion comes standard with the exclusive limiter belt, the length of which can be adjusted with a simple lever to precisely choose the snowmobile’s behavior according to the terrain and riding preferences.
The most noticeable differences in the Expert package are the shorter tunnel and the absence of the snow guard, which is replaced by a light fender. This variation increases ground clearance and improves deep snow capabilities, while reducing overall vehicle weight.
Comfort and functionality were also a major focus for the engineering team. The Summit X with Expert Package comes standard with a narrower diameter handlebar with new grips and flexible hand guards. Improved contoured running boards extend fully forward to better shed snow and reduce vehicle weight. The list of standard features ends with the lower, shorter, narrower and lighter FORTY7c seat, specially designed by legendary mountain specialist Carl Kuster.
2020 SKI-DOO SUMMIT X
OVERVIEW
Summit X snowmobilers can’t help it: pushing the limits is part of their DNA. With each ride, these snowmobilers seek to climb higher, improve their technical handling between the trees, challenge themselves and push their limits. The Model X snowmobiler wants to improve his or her skills so that each ride surpasses the last. That’s why they switched to the Summit X: because it’s the perfect fit for their needs.
First, there’s the REV Gen4 platform – an ultra-dynamic chassis that reacts instantly to the rider’s commands to deliver stunning control. Then Summit X adds the incredible power and high-precision response of the Rotax 850 E-TEC engine. Together, they form the ideal combination of handling and power for deep snow enthusiasts who want an indescribable experience, every ride.
The spring exclusive Summit X offers a choice of three tracks: 154, 165 and 175″ (391.2 cm, 419.1 cm and 444.5 cm). With a 2.5″ or 3″ profile on the 154″ and 165″ tracks, or 3″ on the 175″ track, and FlexEdge technology, the X model has all the traction needed for tough climbs, steep mountainsides and most technical situations in deep snow.
New for 2020, contoured running boards significantly improve snow evacuation with wider openings along the entire length. In addition to reducing weight, they provide exceptional traction and allow the active driver to move from one side of the vehicle to the other with more confidence.
The Summit X package takes it a step further by offering an exceptional deep snow experience with Ultimate coloring and graphics, and a protective layer on the side panels. No more bumps and scratches from branches and moving around in the trailer. With this exclusive Ski-Doo feature, your vehicle will always look like it came from the dealer.
