Arctic Cat, now part of the Textron Group, today unveiled one of its most exciting new model announcements to date.

To fill a need in the snowmobile industry, Arctic Cat is offering a 2021 vehicle lineup featuring the new BLAST mid-size models, designed for both performance and value. The 2021 offering also includes several new models and upgrades to existing vehicles.

Blast is synonymous with explosion in French, we see that Textron wants to hit hard!Craig Kennedy, vice president, Arctic Cat for Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. said, “Arctic Cat is back with a bang. The 2021 lineup is a testament to our commitment to the snowmobile industry, our customers and the brand. Our engineering team in Thief River Falls works tirelessly to create new and innovative products that will appeal not only to today’s snowmobilers, but also to tomorrow’s potential enthusiasts.”

The BLAST line includes three mid-size models with 400cc engines to satisfy mountain, trail or utility/sport riders on a budget.

The BLAST M 4000 mountain bike, BLAST ZR® 4000 trail bike and BLAST LT 4000 sport utility bike – are true mid-size vehicles, equipped with a new 2-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection. The C-TEC2 4000 delivers 65 horsepower with an exact displacement of 397 cc.

Users will benefit from much of the same technology found on premium snowmobiles, such as the Arctic Drive System and Arctic Mountain Suspension (AMS). The mountain version also includes the revolutionary ALPHA ONE suspension system. And with a smaller frame, these models offer improved visibility and handling for unparalleled riding enjoyment.

BLAST is the ideal entry-level option for the customer looking for a snowmobile under $11,000 or for the experienced snowmobiler looking for a snowmobile that is easy to ride but will be generous with thrills.

Other new features for the 2021 models:

The Riot X crossover model gets the ALPHA ONE suspension system for improved handling in deep snow.

  • The Mountain line sees the addition of the innovative ATAC suspension system (formerly called iACT) on the M 8000 Mountain Cat ALPHA ONE. It allows you to change the hardness of the suspension on the fly.
  • For the utility market, Arctic Cat is reintroducing the Norseman X 8000, which offers great power and many features

The Arctic Cat pre-order namedSnowmageddon returns for 2021.
This year, Arctic Cat has extended the pre-order period. Vehicles are being unveiled earlier in the season to provide more demonstration opportunities for consumers. This gives potential customers more time to make their purchasing decisions.
