After the success of the popular Titan and Mission helmets, CKX is back with a vengeance with the unveiling of the CKX snowmobile helmet Contact! A production electric helmet designed specifically for trail riding. “By working on the Titan and Mission, we have developed a real expertise in winter helmets. The team had not yet tackled the design of a helmet dedicated to a more recreational use. This segment of our offer was in great need of renewal,” says Jean-Simon Lévesque, engineer and head of the CKX product department.

Lightweight and sleek, the snowmobile helmet Contact stands out with features that CKX helmets are known for. “Comfort is a common theme in the feedback we receive about the Titan and Mission. With the Contact, we can say that CKX is setting a signature in this area! Fans will find this much appreciated comfort” says Jean-Simon Lévesque with satisfaction. The Contact is also a full face helmet that benefits from the advantages of a modular helmet. Its oversized visor offers a panoramic view and, once raised, it completely clears the face.
A simple, yet innovative helmet
For the CKX engineering team, the real challenge this time around was to create a helmet that would require no adjustment, but would remain just as effective and functional. “We aimed for simplicity to come to market with an accessible and innovative product. To succeed in innovating in simplicity is not so easy, but that’s what we achieved with the Contact and its 3 patents pending” adds Jean-Simon Lévesque proudly.
The integration of the redesigned impact absorption components and the simplified and innovative visor mechanism are the first two patents pending. The third is the electric visor system with some of the best features of the Contact. The bottom of the visor has a visible connection indicator. This allows the driver to see the status of the helmet’s connection at all times. Added to the side of the helmet is a connection guard that reduces the strain on the cable.
