For the past five decades, Lynx has enjoyed unprecedented success in European snowmobile racing. Since 1990, the Rave model has been the #1 cross-country snowmobile in the Lynx lineup, focused directly on the racing experience. Every lesson learned is quickly applied to help our enthusiasts master the most unforgiving terrain, just as our racers master the competition.

Lynx’s success in the cross-country world is based on another secret: our northern heritage and our unique emphasis on designing our vehicles for demanding conditions where groomers don’t exist. Like all Lynx snowmobiles, the Rave has been heavily influenced by snowmobilers, how they ride and where they ride, with little attention paid to aesthetic details. Our commitment is to performance first and foremost, which translates into an authentic look and design.

Lynx Rave RE 2022

The snowmobiler-oriented Radien platform provides a very natural feel, with wide, flat running boards, rounded side panels and a seat shape and firmness that encourages dynamic riding styles. With an exceptional suspension and high quality KYB performance shocks, the Rave RE is unbeatable on the trail. The new PPS3 long-travel rear suspension works like a motocross suspension that favors the rear wheel over bumps. Add the new LFS+ front suspension and the new Blade XC+ skis, and you have a great example of the features that set the Rave RE apart from the competition.

The Rave RE 850 E-TEC is a high-performance cross-country model with the most powerful two-stroke engine in its class. The raw power satisfies even the most demanding snowmobilers who always want a little more.

For 2022, the Lynx Rave RE provides an even more exciting riding experience with the new PPS3 rear suspension, LFS+ front suspension and Blade XC+ skis. The comfort zone and performance of the Rave RE are at an all-time high.

Why 2022 Lynx Rave RE?

  • A cross-country snowmobile for demanding northern conditions, combining top-level riding characteristics with outstanding performance.
  • The progressive PPS3 3500 long-travel independent rear suspension with high-quality KYB 46 Kashima shocks can handle even the toughest conditions. Predictable and precise steering with LFS+ front suspension and Blade XC+ skis.
  • The Radien platform provides optimal weight distribution and perfect handling for highly dynamic riders.

Radien Platform: The rigid Radien chassis and its optimal weight distribution form the basis for the stable riding characteristics of the Lynx Rave RE. Ergonomic features such as foot placement, a narrow seat and compact, rounded side panels were specifically chosen for snowmobilers who enjoy sporty riding. Thanks to the driving dynamics of the Radien platform and the relaxed driving position, the driver is always ready to move quickly to deal with the situation. Fatigue is less likely to set in and the snowmobiler can better enjoy his long days of winter fun.

PPS3 Rear Suspension: Suspension is another important factor that sets Lynx Rave RE models apart from their competitors. The PPS3 3500 rear suspension uses fully independent arms in the center and rear to provide a smooth ride over bumpy trails and bumps without extreme compression. Thanks to its unique design, the suspension is truly progressive: it works smoothly at low speeds over bumps, and when the ride becomes dynamic, it can easily dominate big bumps..

Compared to its predecessor, the third-generation PPS rear suspension is 3.2 kg (7 lb) lighter, runs quieter, produces less vibration, and provides better control of weight transfers. The driver benefits from unsurpassed grip under acceleration to better handle the most challenging bumps. With revised geometry and calibration, the new PPS3 is also more comfortable than its predecessor on smoother or bumpier terrain, with no reduction in performance when driving becomes aggressive.

LFS+ Front Suspension: The new LFS+ front suspension features a double A-arm design and long travel with a stable 42.2″ ski spread. Combined with the dual-pivot steering system and new Blade XC+ skis, it provides a wider comfort zone and predictable handling on a wide variety of terrain and snow conditions, with superior stability and precision in turns.

KYB 46 HLCR Shock Absorbers with Kashima Coating (HLCR = high speed, low speed, compression, rebound damping): The sensitivity of the suspension’s movements and its ability to absorb large trail irregularities are managed by the very high quality KYB Kashima 46 HLCR shocks. The high level of adjustability allows the sled to be optimized for the rider’s needs and conditions, while the Kashima coating ensures frictionless movement and ten times the life. The shocks feature high-speed compression and low-speed compression, with adjustable rebound damping.

Blade XC+ Skis: The optimal handling of the LFS+ front suspension connects to the snow with the Blade XC+ skis. With a long, three-tiered keel design, Blade XC+ skis provide great directional stability, while reducing traction variability in a variety of snow types and conditions. With Blade XC+ skis, steering remains predictable and precise no matter how icy, bumpy, wet or fresh the trail. This new version is 400 grams lighter than its predecessor, which reduces unsprung mass and combines with the LFS+ front suspension to deliver precision handling.

ROTAX 850 E-TEC: The Rotax 850 E-TEC in the RAVE RE is ideal for those who seek ultra dynamic acceleration and top performance. The raw acceleration and instant power of the 849cc, 165hp direct injection engine is part of every high-speed ride and long day trip. Not to mention that the Rotax 850 E-TEC is the most fuel-efficient engine in its class. *
