MINNEAPOLIS (September 10, 2020) – From the top track of Canterbury Snocross to the high-speed action of the I-500 and the ultimate challenge of the Jackson Hole World Championship, Team Polaris racers are ready to dominate with three race-ready machines at their disposal.

The 600R 2021 is the latest iteration of Polaris’ dedication to technology development, and the dominance of the INDY XCR and RMK Khaos is the result of that technology in our snowmobile lineup.

“Throughout the history of the Polaris Snowmobiles brand, we have used racing to develop and test our high performance snowmobiles,” said Chris Wolf, president of Polaris Snowmobiles.

“That tradition is still going strong today, pushing the technology with the 600R and demonstrating the strength and performance of our production snowmobiles with the XCR and Khaos.”

Polaris 600R 2021 Racing Snowmobile

The 2021 600R race sled continues on the proven, championship-winning AXYS R platform for this season, with state-of-the-art suspension and premium ergonomics. The legendary Polaris Race IFS and 136″ RX2 rear suspension, with Walker Evans Racing Velocity shocks, are ready to take on the toughest trails race after race. The narrow racing body, which inspired the all-new Matryx series snowmobiles, allows racers to push the 600R to the limit while keeping them in total control.

“The 600R is a proven, race champion chassis and leads the pack in handling and rider ergonomics. For the 2021 season, the powertrain was our main focus, which resulted in our all-new, purpose-built 600 engine,” said Tom Rager Jr, Polaris Race Director.

With decades of advanced engine development, including the Patriot engine architecture, the all-new 600 race engine is purpose-built for competition with proven Polaris Racing technology. The lightweight, low-inertia powertrain features an all-new EFI/throttle body system, lightweight crankshaft and flywheel, a new head and intake port design, and more. The result: a 10-horsepower gain in peak power and a staggering 18-horsepower gain in the mid-range over the previous 600 race engine.

Starts and top speed are dramatically improved with the increased power output, and the low inertia and new EFI system provide ultra-fast throttle response. The new engine, coupled with the 600R platform, will be a definite advantage for Team Polaris riders this winter.

2021 INDY XCR and RMK Khaos

Racing offers extreme conditions that are difficult to replicate in any other way and provides the ideal venue for developing and testing production snowmobiles. INDY XCR and RMK Khaos production snowmobiles demonstrate race-worthy power and performance.

The XCR’s legacy in cross-country racing is legendary, and the INDY XCR 600 2021 is ready to write the next chapter. Walker Evans Velocity shocks, Polaris Race Technology components and extended strength reinforcements take XCR to the next level.

The RMK Khaos’ rigid, lightweight aluminum frame provides agile, predictive handling on steep inclines and off-road courses. Power from the 850 Patriot and Walker Evans Velocity shocks provide the strength and response needed to dominate the mountain.

“With the 600R and its all-new race engine, the proven strength of the XCR and the light and powerful 850 RMK, it’s going to be a dominant winter for Team Polaris” according to Wolf.
