Aim high. Don’t look back. Aim bigger. Repeat. This is how the mind of the freeride snowmobiler works. It’s programmed to push the limits, driven to aim higher, every time. The 2021 Ski-Doo Freeride embodies this same bold mindset.

At first glance at the intimidating terrain, some snowmobilers say “not today”. Faced with the same terrain, the Freeride snowmobiler sees an exciting opportunity to experience something beyond imagination, a chance to open his mind to even greater possibilities. Like the snowmobiler, who others call “crazy” or “extreme”, the Freeride rider is ready to surprise and attract attention.

To be the ideal snowmobile to satisfy that snowmobiler, the Freeride must provide unmatched power – everywhere. That’s exactly what the popular Rotax 850 E-TEC offers, but now there’s a new option that goes even further. The new Rotax 850 E-TEC Turbo. It delivers the full 165 horsepower of the Rotax 850 E-TEC up to 8,000 feet and, at higher altitudes, continues to provide a whopping 40 more horsepower than any other manufacturer’s two-stroke engine on the market – with about half the weight penalty of aftermarket turbo packages. And with lag-free responses, an integrated design to ensure chassis balance and a manufacturer’s warranty, the rider has no reason to hold back.

For 2021, some improvements have been made to the capable Freeride, featuring the dynamic and robust REV Gen4 platform and renowned KYB Pro shocks designed to push the limits. Snowmobilers will immediately notice the lighter, shortened tunnel that takes the Freeride to a new level of handling in deep snow.

Some features have also been reduced in weight, such as new lightweight shock springs, a new compact weatherproof seat, wide-opening running boards that better shed snow and a new one-piece hood.

And with other rider-focused features like smaller diameter handlebars, a new 4.5-inch backlit digital display and Ski-Doo’s exclusive SHOT battery-free starting system, the Freeride 2021 provides extreme snowmobilers with an unsurpassed riding experience on the snow.
